Eleven


Another in my infrequent series of "It doesn't have to be perfect to be worthy".
I was no more than 10 feet from this as it flashed past.
It was going quite fast, I think you can tell.

1600 ASA B/W might just get it, but it's easier to practice panning...mind your lens though...

OK, this will bore all not photo-fans here, but the details on this:
1/200s f/14 @ 70mm ISO800 Av mode
I could have used a much faster shutter - and indeed did later.
Panning was *not* an option from where I was standing, and that close to the track, as they pass at about 200MPH. I didn't have sufficient clear view down the track to get them head on, so it was a case of click the shutter and hope you got the timing right - allowing for the minimal shutter lag.
I'll post a couple of other examples to prove it wasn't a completely wasted visit...
